Trigg County won a season opener for the first time in the eight-year history of the girls' soccer program.
Taylor Davis scored a hat trick and freshman Lauren Frazier added two goals as Trigg County beat Paducah Tilghman 5-2 in the first-ever meeting between the schools.
Davis assisted on one of Frazier's goals, and Nadia Adams had an assist.
Katie Davis picked up the win in goal for the Lady Wildcats, who return to action today at Calloway County in what will be the season opener for the Lady Lakers.
Paducah Tilghman won the JV game 6-1, with Lauren Frazier scoring Trigg's lone goal.
In other games:
- Caldwell County got four goals from Savannah Pepper to beat Christian County 5-0. Ashlea Holt scored Caldwell's other goals, with assists from Renee Laurent, Nikki Payne, and Mikayla White.
- Madisonville beat Lyon County 9-3
- Todd County Central shut out Monroe County 6-0.
