Hoptown wins triangular match at Boots

Trigg County was edged by a single stroke by Hopkinsville in a triangular match Tuesday at Boots Randolph Golf Course.

Trent Parrent led Trigg with a 38, followed by Nick Schoate-39 Cole Gardner-39 Josh Lowe-40 and Derrick Rogers-42.

Dallas Gates took medalist honors for Hopkinsville with a 1-over 37, followed by Jordan Gary-39 Conner Gates-39 Jack Gardner-40 and Lucas Bolinger-46.

Hoptown's team score was 155. Trigg was second at 156, and Crittenden County finished in third place with a team score of 186.

For the ladies, Sierra Bush and Karli Bush each shot a 54 to tie for first. Hopkinsville's Michaela Young shot a 55. Trigg's Madison Chaney and Christian County's Madeline Pelletier and Rachel Davis each shot a 61, and Kelsey Thomas had a 63.

Trigg County will be at Lyon County Thursday.
