The Trigg County Middle School basketball teams split a homecoming doublheader with Lone Oak Saturday.
The guys won 77-71 as Deonquez Nance scored 28 points to pace four players in double figures. Jermya Love added 14 points, Jordan Davis scored 12 points, and Travis Desrcohers scored 11 points.
The Midcat girls suffered their first loss to a western Kentucky team as Lone Oak held on for a 41-37 win.
Khadijah Grubbs led Trigg County with 18 points, while Leonzerrae Grubbs acored seven, and Alyssa Stallons had six. Stallons was also named homecoming queen before the game. Jordan Davis was named homecoming king.
Trigg County will host Hopkinsville in an 8th grade boys/girls doubleheader at Midcat Gym Tuesday at 5:30pm.
