Hopkinsville, Christian County tie in golf match

Hopkinsville and Christian County tied for first place in a triangular match with University Heights Monday at the Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club.

Jordan Gary led Hopkinsville with a 38, followed by Dallas Gates (39), Conner Gates (41), Dayton Jones (45), Brendan Jones (47), and Lucas Bolinger (49).

John Stevenson led UHA with a 42, while Kyle Barbee shot a 43. Taylor Chapman shot a 48, Cameron Allen and Tyler Stewart each shot 50s, and Dalton Putty shot a 56.

Hopkinsville's Marah Goff shot a 48 to lead the ladies.

UHA returns to action Tuesday at the Madisonville Country Club.

He also hosts the Saturday Morning Sports Report on WKDZ -- one of the few local sports programs in the area. His local sports has been the most read in Trigg County for several years.
