Judge rules that Duke football is terrible

A circuit court judge has made a ruling that many football fans have known for years -- Duke football is terrible.

According to the Louisville Courier-Journal story, Duke backed out of the final three games of a four-game contracted series with Louisville.  Louisville sued Duke for $450,000, but said they could substitute another ACC team for the Blue Devils.

The contract said Louisville would be paid a $150,000 penalty per game for breaking the contract, unless a team of "similar stature" could not be found to replace Duke.

The lawyer for Duke said they were so bad (losers of 45 of their last 50 games), any team could replace Duke and there were no teams of "similar stature."

Louisville beat Duke 40-3 in 2002, but Duke opted out of games in 2007 through 2009.
