Trigg County fell to Livingston Central 49-44 in the championship game of the 8th Grade Girls District Tournament at Eddyville Saturday.
Trigg led 43-42 with a minute left, and the game was tied at 44 with 16 seconds left when Livingston converted a three-point play to take a 47-44 lead. Trigg missed a 3-point attempt to tie the game, and Livingston tacked on two points for the final margin.
Rachel Want led the Lady Midcats with 10 points, followed by Khadijah Grubbs and Alyssa Maxey with nine each, Alyssa Stallons with seven points, and Rodrey Jones with five points.
Trigg County won seven of their last eight games to finish the season with a record of 11-5.
